SVA & Importing

Most American vehicles need a lighting conversion which includes converting red rear direction indicators to amber and the addition of a rear fog lamp. An SVA test is required because American vehicles are not European Type Approved. An SVA test checks vehicles on an individual basis to ensure that they comply with European Type Approval standards (or mutually recognised standards). Passing the test confirms that the vehicle is fit for use on UK roads. The vehicle cannot be registered without a Minister's Approval Certificate (SVA test pass)

QVM

QVM means all our cars are manufactured according to the guidelines specified by Lincoln Motor Cars USA. Future Limo Sales pride ourselves on supplying stretch limousines which meet the safety standard of US motoring organizations. You can rest assured thta extensive testing procedures to check the safety of Lincoln Limousines and the person/s who travel inside have been performed. Seatbelts are fitted to all cars in our current fleet as standard.

A stretch limousine is not manufactured in a traditional factory setting.  Anyone can cut a Lincoln Town Car in half! Only QVM Certified coach builders can put them back together to the QVM Standards.   ALL our stretch limousines comply with the governmental SVA Standards/

Stretch limousines are NOT built by Ford Lincoln Mercury.  If the vehicle you're chartering/renting holds more than ten passengers, Ford Lincoln Mercury will only provide Q.V.M. builders with this 418 frame. In order to pass FMVSS test #105 the rear disc breaks on the factory Town Car have been replaced with drum brakes from the Ford Lincoln Mercury factory. In testing it was discovered that the vehicle would not hold the additional weight from the alteration and stay parked on a 30% grade with only the park break applied..
